Schools
Bat Detectives
Bats have been using old buildings like churches for just as long as humans. There are bats roosting here in our church! The bats living here are Common Pipistrelle Bats. Find out more about bats and why we should encourage their church habitat using the resources below.
The Bat Detectives Teacher Pack below includes a full session plan to use inside the church, along with all of the resources but you may wish to download and print the fact sheets and resources individually for a shorter activity.
Please let churchwarden Sally know if you wish to book a self-guided visit so that she can lend you our bat poo sample jar and arrange for the building to be open for your arrival.

Nature Detectives
As part of our ongoing mission to encourage bats and other wildlife in our churchyard, we aim to plant insect friendly plants and trees on an ongoing basis. If you would like to see how we are doing, you may wish to explore the churchyard using these ‘Spotter’ sheets from Wildlife Watch
World War Two
We are currently working on a brand new World War Two resource for local KS2 classes. This will include a teacher pack complete with self-guided lesson plans and extension activities, handling items and authentic costumes, sound clips and more.
