The atmosphere is informal and collaborative and you can dip in and out of projects and research as you wish. Some of our volunteers work in a specific area, such as exhibition research or audio visual support, and others assist on a more adhoc basis or for a few hours here and there – perhaps tour guiding for an exhibition Tuesday, researching a family member for our family histories, baking Medieval refreshments for a concert, running the bar at a fundraising event or assisting with visits to Father Christmas!
Whatever time you have to give is gratefully received and our existing team of wonderful volunteers (young and old!) will always be on hand to give you the lowdown and provide shadowing opportunities, along with a good dose of humour and some cake!
