Walking Routes

  Walk 1  Walk 2  Walk 3
  Walk 4  Walk 5

Here are five walks from and back to St. Marys Church, Woodham Ferrers CM3 8RF. They range from 1.5 to 8 miles in length depending on your preference. If you walk on a Tuesday morning the church is open between 10 – 12 when the cleaning team get busy and you can count on a warm welcome and a cuppa. There is also a toilet. There are six free community parking spaces in the Bell Pub car park opposite. Larger walking groups can be accommodated by prior appointment. Email stmaryshh@gmail.com to make a date.

Our Heritage Lottery Project is called restoring the building and engaging the community. We hope you will engage and enjoy our stunning local countryside and leave more happy and relaxed then when you arrived!

These maps have been re-worked for the website with the help of local ramblers who responded to our request for help. Special mention should be made to Gerard & Dawn Key from the South East Essex ramblers who walked all the routes, took lots of photographs and reported a number of repairs and issue to Essex Highways improving your experience of walking the routes.

Andy Hudson and John from the Maldon and Dengie Ramblers generated some really useful what three words markers for those who use this app.

David Berragan and a group from the Thurrock ramblers shared an excellent link to information on Thrift Wood.
